In One UI 7 on Samsung devices, the Now Bar is a feature that provides quick access to your most recent apps and tasks. If you'd prefer not to use it or want to turn it off, you can follow these steps:
Steps to Turn Off Now Bar in One UI 7:
-
Open Settings:
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notification panel and tap the gear icon to open Settings.
-
Go to Display Settings:
- In Settings, scroll down and tap on Display.
-
Tap on "Edge Screen" (If applicable):
- If your Samsung device has an Edge Screen feature, you might need to tap on Edge Screen under the Display settings. The Now Bar is a part of this feature.
-
Disable the Edge Panels:
- Once you’re in the Edge Screen settings, tap on Edge Panels.
- Toggle the Edge Panels option off. This will disable the Now Bar and other edge features.
-
Disable "Task Edge" or "Apps Edge" (If Required):
- If you have Task Edge or Apps Edge enabled (which might include the Now Bar), you can disable them by turning off the respective options in this menu.
-
Optional: Customize Edge Panels (If You Don’t Want to Turn Them Off Completely):
- If you just want to remove the Now Bar and keep other Edge Panel features, tap on Manage Panels and uncheck Apps or any panel related to the Now Bar feature.
Additional Option:
If you're using the Full-Screen Navigation and don't want the Now Bar to appear during navigation gestures, you can:
- Go back to Settings.
- Tap Navigation bar under the Display settings.
- Choose Full-Screen Gestures to avoid any interruptions from the Now Bar.
After these steps, the Now Bar should be turned off, and it won’t appear on your screen anymore.
